Relationship Specialist
A relationship specialist is a therapist who, not only receives special training for couples counseling, but also devotes a large part of her practice to counseling couples based on that training. For the past 12 years I have taught communication classes and workshops for couples, such as "Anger Management for Couples", "Solving the Jealousy Issue", "Healthy Negotiating for Couples" and "Is It You or Is It Me?"
These classes and my sessions with couples draw heavily upon the research of John Gottman, mathematician and psychologist, who made a science of what healthy, long lasting couples were doing right and what most predicted divorce. I was privileged to have recieved training in the outcomes of his studies, which provided a practical roadmap for couples who want a fulfilling and long lasting relationship. - Next -
